Abstract

This study aims to see the effect of the perception of halal tourism in Lake Toba on the interest of visiting Pekanbaru City tourists. Based on the survey conducted, Based on the observations made, there is a high interest in visiting the tourist attraction of Lake Toba by Pekanbaru City tourists. However, this interest has disappeared because of the perception in the community about the difficulty of halal accommodation in tourism. In this study, the researcher used field research which directly went to the research location. The data analysis model used in this research is descriptive analysis using a quantitative approach, namely studying the relationship between two or more variables and describing or explaining a problem whose results can be generalized. In this study, it is more concerned with the aspect of the breadth of the data so that the data or research results are considered to be a representation of the entire population. The results of the study indicate that there is a significant and significant effect on the perception of the application of Halal Tourism on the Interest of Tourist Visits. If the variable of implementing Halal Tourism is increased, there will be an increase in Tourist Visits.
