Abstract

Empowerment of village communities is an effort to develop community independence and welfare by increasing knowledge, attitudes, skills, behavior, abilities, awareness and utilizing resources through the establishment of policies, programs, activities and assistance in accordance with the essence of problems and priority needs of the village community. The community empowerment program carried out by the Village Head in the community empowerment program, there were five programs that were implemented in 2018 but until the end of 2019 there were still activities that had not been realized and had not even been implemented at all. The main objective of this research is to analyze the implementation of village government policies in empowering the community of Tasik Serai Barat Village, Talang Muandau District, Bengkalis Regency. The type of research used in this research is descriptive survey with qualitative methods. There were 11 informants in this study with the village head as the key informant. Data collection techniques by interview and descriptive data analysis using typology techniques. This study concludes that the implementation of village government policies in empowering the community of Tasik Serai barat village, Talang Muandau sub-district, Bengkalis Regency is quite implemented and needs to be improved again. This is due to several inhibiting factors, namely the village head has not maximally socialized and provided information on activities carried out in the village.
