Abstract
Humans are identical with sexuality, or sexuality is a biological need that cannot be avoided by any human being as long as he is normal and wherever he lives his life. Islam recognizes the existence of lust for human sexuality as an inseparable part of the essence of humanity. Biological channeling outside these two mechanisms is abnormal and deviant behavior. The purpose of this research is the gay self-concept in Pekanbaru City. The research method used is a qualitative method. The subjects in this study were 2 homosexual perpetrators. From the results of research and discussion, it can be concluded that the informant as a gay homosexual has a positive self-concept and follows their conscience in acting. However, human attitudes and behavior are always looking for excuses so that they reject their existence and attitudes that cause various diseases such as AIDS, venereal disease, and so on.
