Abstract

Integrated Waste Management Planning is the selection and application of technology and management to achieve the objectives of waste management. Integrated waste management can be carried out after evaluating all elements of the functional unit of the solid waste system, such as waste generation, handling, selection of waste containers and processing at the source, collection, sorting and processing as well as transformation/change of form from waste, transfer, transportation and final processing. Therefore, in tackling pollution of wild waste caused by population growth that is not balanced with inadequate waste facilities and infrastructure, integrated waste management is needed in Pasir Penyu District. From an assessment of the operational aspects of waste management and social aspects in Pasir Penyu District, it has not been effective and meets the technical requirements for household waste management because the Indragiri Hulu District government is still focusing on market waste management which results in ineffective household waste management in Pasir Penyu District. Based on the results of the qualitative and quantitative analysis which became the material for calculations in the development analysis in the preparation of an integrated waste management plan in Pasir Penyu District. The preparation of an integrated waste management plan at the Pasir Penyu District consists of several stages of preparation, namely (1) a plan for the need for waste facilities and infrastructure in calculating the needs and determining the location of waste infrastructure facilities for the next 10 years,
