Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the suitability of the application of accounting in the village government with generally accepted accounting principles. The type of information that researchers use is primary data and secondary data. Primary information was obtained from direct interviews with the Treasurer of Sungai Jalau Village about the history of the founding of Sungai Jalau Village and the process of preparing village finances. Secondary information is information obtained from documents related to Sungai Jalau Village, such as village vision and mission, village journals and financial reports. The data collection technique that the writer uses is interviews and documentation, while the research analysis is descriptive. The results of the study found that the application of financial accounting to the government of Sungai Jalau Village, North Kampar District, Kampar Regency was not fully in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
