Abstract
This study aims to determine the magnitude of the role of the small industrial sector in employment in Kampar Regency using secondary data using the analysis of labor elasticity. The results of this study conclude that small industries play a role in employment in Kampar District, but are relatively small. The role of the small industrial sector in the absorption of labor is relatively small, this is because the high amount of employment is not followed by a high growth of business units as well, from the growth data of the industrial business units amounted to 37.71% and labor growth amounted to 105.99% and the results of labor research absorbed by the small industrial sector in Kampar Regency, amounting to 2,81%.
