Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the Results of the Implementation of Duties Sub-Division of Public Works Agency and Spatial Planning in Road Maintenance in Pekanbaru City. To find out the barriers to the Implementation of Duties of the Highways Department of Public Works and Spatial Planning in Road Maintenance in Pekanbaru City. The established research indicators are: effectiveness, efficiency, adequacy, leveling, responsiveness, and accuracy. Type of descriptive survey research using quantitative methods through data collection from research respondents who are the main source of research. The research sample was drawn using purposive sampling and incidental sampling techniques. The data collected is sourced from primary data and secondary data using techniques in the form of questionnaires, observations, interviews, and documentation. All data collected is classified according to its type and form then presented in a quantitative descriptive manner. The results of the study found that the implementation of road maintenance carried out was in a fairly good category. Where the PUPR Office has conducted data collection, planning, maintenance work. But there are still shortcomings in terms of quality of work, the number of roads that are still damaged has not decreased from year to year. The constraints faced by the Pekanbaru City PUPR Office in carrying out maintenance of damaged roads are the limited number of staff in the Bina Marga Sector and the limited maintenance budget allocation does not match the damaged roads in Pekanbaru City.
