Abstract
Currently the need for fuel for energy is increasing. Biomass is the biggest potential that Indonesia has, biomass can be used as alternative energy for gasification systems. The gasification system is the process of converting solid fuels into combustible gases (CH4, CO, and H2) through a combustion process with limited air, and this gasification can be used as thermal energy for fish dryers. In this test, the biomass fuel used is rice husk and sawdust with a fuel mass of 3 kg and valve opening on a blower of 40% and produces different gasification efficiencies, in rice husks it produces a gasification efficiency of 41% and in sawdust ie 39%. In the gasification process, thermal energy is used to heat the fish dryer pipe, in this process the percentage of pollutant content that comes out of the fish dryer exhaust chimney is obtained.
