Abstract
The purpose of this research is to describe the planning, implementation and evaluation of character education in class IV learning activities at SDN 145 Pekanbaru. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative using data collection techniques through observation, document interviews. Then the data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The results of this study are SDN 145 Pekanbaru does not yet have a Character Education Strengthening (PPK) program. So that the implementation planning of the 5 main character values is not written in writing. The implementation of the 5 main character values in the classroom in thematic and mulok learning does not go well in the online lesson plans, the learning steps do not instill character values. because in the learning process the teacher only gives assignments to students, asks students to send assignments and students are asked to learn the learning materials themselves. The implementation of the 5 main character values outside the classroom cannot be carried out, namely extracurricular activities and school habituation activities due to the impact of the spread of the Covid-19 virus. Thus, the evaluation of the implementation of the 5 main character values at SDN 145 Pekanbaru did not run because of the impact of online school activities
