Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning process and improve student learning outcomes in the field of Mathematics study for class XI SMA PGRI Pekanbaru for the academic year 2020/2021 through the application of the social gathering card learning model which turned into online learning during the covid19 pandemic. This research was conducted on March 8, 2021 to April 26, 2021. This study only observed teachers during online learning, which was carried out in 2 cycles, each cycle consisting of 4 meetings, namely 3 meetings for the learning process and 1 meeting for daily tests. . The subjects of the study were class XI students of SMA PGRI Pekanbaru, totaling 17 students, with 11 male students and 16 female students. Data collection techniques and instruments used in this study were observation techniques and student learning outcomes tests. Observations were made by observing the activities of students and teachers at each meeting in implementing the online learning model. The test carried out in this study was a written test in the form of a daily test in the form of an essay (description) which was carried out at the end of the first cycle and the end of the second cycle. The results showed that the average student learning outcomes in the first cycle was 54.11, then increased in the second cycle with an average of 68.82. The classical percentage also increased from 58.82% in the first cycle to 76.47% in the second cycle. So it increased from cycle I to cycle II by 17.65%. Based on the results of these studies, it can be concluded that "The Application of Online Learning Models" can improve the learning process and improve mathematics learning outcomes for students of class XI SMA PGRI Pekanbaru.
