Abstract

Evaluation questions are a series of activities in improving the quality, performance or productivity of an institution in carrying out its program. The test used in this evaluation is multiple choice. The question level criteria for determining the total number of items must consider the appropriate amount of time. The tests conducted at SMP N 45 Pekanbaru used Odd Mid-semester Examinations to determine and measure the level of student learning outcomes, in which the odd mid-semester test questions, especially Indonesian subjects, were prepared by the subject teachers. The exam questions used are 25 multiple choice questions. The purpose of this study is to find out, analyze, describe and interpret the actual picture about the level of difficulty, the level of discriminating power, and the effectiveness of distractors. The data sources of this research are all multiple choice questions, totaling 25 questions and answer sheets totaling 50 students. The theory used in this study by Arifin and Nurgiyantoro. The approach used is quantitative and descriptive methods. The results of this study conclude the Analysis of Items for the Mid-semester Odd Examination for Indonesian Language Subjects for Class VIII SMP Negeri 45 Pekanbaru for the 2020/2021 academic year, in terms of the aspect of the difficulty level index, the questions in the easy category are 6 items (24%), moderate category 10 items (40%), categorized as difficult 9 items (36%) so the results were rejected. In the aspect of the differentiating power index in terms of feasibility or not, the items in the appropriate category are 1 item (4%), while those in the inappropriate category are 24 items (96%) thus the results are rejected. In the aspect of the distractor effectiveness index in terms of its functioning, it is categorized as very good, 21 items (84%), good category 2 items (8%), less good category 1 item (4%), and very bad category 1 item (4%) ) with the results of data analysis of effectiveness and distractors categorized as good.
