Abstract
ABSTRACT Rahmad Hidayat, 2021. The Correlation of Reaction Speed and Arm Muscle Strength Against Chudan Tsuki (Y) Punch on TAKO Yellow Belt Karate Athletes at South Tapan Police Dojo Padang Sidimpuan This study aims to determine the relationship between reaction speed and arm muscle strength against Chu and Tsuki's punches in TAKO Yellow Belt Karate Athletes at the South Tapanuli Police Dojo, Padang Sidimpuan City. The type of research used in this study is correlation. The research instrument used was the Nelson hand reaction test, the two hand madicine ball put test and the blow chu and tsuki test. Based on the results of data analysis and hypothesis testing obtained, for the relationship of reaction speed to chu and tsuki blows or variable X1 to Y obtained rcount > rtable or 0.537 > 0.532, for the relationship of arm muscle strength to chu and tsuki blows or variable X2 to Y obtained rcount > rtable or 0.601 > 0.532, while for the relationship of reaction speed and arm muscle strength to the ability to hit chudan tsuki or variables X1, X2 to Y obtained rcount > rtable or 0.709> 0.532 it is known that there is a significant relationship between reaction speed, arm muscle strength against chudan tsuki punches on TAKO Yellow Belt Karate Athletes in Dojo Polres Tapsel Padang Sidimpuan City.
