Abstract
This study aims to analyze the difference in the level of bank soundness between before and finding covid-19. The assessment of the level of health used in this study is the Risk-Based Bank Rating (RBBR) method. The research method used in this study is descriptive comparative with a quantitative approach, the sample in this study is the financial statements of Rural Banks in Riau Province for the 2018-2021 period registered with the Financial Services Authority (OJK). This research is a research with secondary data. This study used descriptive statistical analysis, normality test, Wilcoxon signed rank difference test. The results showed that there was a significant difference in the ratio of NPL and ROA between before and during the covid-19 pandemic, while the BOPO ratio showed that there was no significant difference between before and during the covid-19 pandemic.
