Abstract

Evaluation of the Department of Transportation's policies on Regional Regulations regarding illegal parking in the city of Pekanbaru. This study aims to explain the results of the evaluation of the Pekanbaru City Department of Transportation in curbing illegal parking in the city of Pekanbaru, the service that regulates transportation affairs is the transportation agency, while the special area for regulating parking at this service is UPTD parking. But according to the research conducted by the author, the arrested illegal parking attendants were only taken to the Pekanbaru City Dishubkominfo office for later data and warning. The parking attendant was only told to make a written statement not to do that again and after that he was told to go home. So the sanctions set for illegal parking attendants are less strict and not in accordance with Regional Regulations. The purpose of this study is to determine and explain the tasks of the Pekanbaru city transportation service in controlling illegal parking in the city of Pekanbaru and obstacles. The method used in this research is quantitative method; The sample is 52 samples consisting of the head of the Pekanbaru City Transportation Agency, parking staff, parking attendants and the community. Questionnaire data collection technique. Thisstudy concludes the results of trecapitulation of respondents' responses in parking management by the transportation agency are quite good. This is because the task of the Pekanbaru City Transportation Service has not been running optimally, it can be proven that there are still illegal parking locations in the city of Pekanbaru. In fact, the Pekanbaru City Transportation Agency has undertaken socialization efforts to parking officers about the proper and correct procedures for taking retribution, as well as socializing to the public about the importance of paying parking fees for the benefit of regional development. However, these efforts do not seem to have made much of a difference. So that the target of this sector in increasing PAD Pekanbaru city tends todecrease.
