Abstract

Early adulthood has the developmental task of being responsible for aspects of life such as education, work, relationships, and finances. In early adulthood, problems arise in aspects of life that cause negative emotions called the quarter-life crisis. On the other hand, early adulthood also has a life goal to get satisfaction in life as an individual. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between quarter-life crisis and life satisfaction in early adulthood in Pekanbaru. The study population was 170,464 early adults, used a sample of 180 early adults with Purposive Sampling technique. Data collection used the Quarter-Life Crisis and Satisfaction With Life Scale (SWLS), then the data obtained were analyzed using Spearman Rho correlation analysis. Based on the results of this research analysis, it can be said that there is a negative relationship between the quarter-life crisis and early life satisfaction in Pekanbaru. The higher the quarter-life crisis, the lower the life satisfaction, on the contrary, the lower the quarter-life crisis, the higher the life satisfaction in early adulthood in Pekanbaru..
