Abstract

This study aims to see whether there is an effect of husband's support on the quality of life of postmenopausal women. The subjects of this study were 60 wives facing menopause in Tanjungpinang. Sampling in this study was obtained by using a sampling technique, namely Convenience or Accidental Sampling. The data collection used in this study was a questionnaire consisting of a husband's support scale of 28 items and a quality of life scale of 35 items. Based on the statistical analysis of One-Sample Kolmogorov-Smirnov, it is known that the R Square value of 0.740 means that simultaneously the magnitude of the influence of the husband's support on the quality of life for wives facing menopause is 74.0%. Meanwhile, 26.0% was influenced by other variables besides the husband's support variable and the results of data processing showed that the variables were normally distributed because the significance was p=0.200 (p>0.05) which indicated that the data were normally distributed. it is concluded that the hypothesis in this study is accepted, that is, there is a significant influence between the husband's support variables on the quality of life for wives facing menopause.
