Abstract

ANALYSIS OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF TRAFFIC AND AUDIT ACCIDENT TRAFFIC SAFETY IN RENGAT CITY INDRAGIRI HULU DISTRICT Zulendra Fadillah 163110823 Abstract The Sultan road is a road section in Rengat town, Indragiri Hulu Regency with STA km 1-4, this road belongs to the Primary Arterial road type. This road section has a high accident rate, therefore research is needed to reduce the development of traffic accidents, as well as knowing the accident rate for 5 years 2013-2017, the location of thepoints Black Spot and Black Site and knowing the characteristics of traffic accidents that occur on the road Sultan. This study aims to determine the development of traffic accidents on the Sultan road, Indragiri Hulu district. The data used is primary data, including LHR data and location documentation, while secondary data is traffic accident data from the Indragiri Hulu Traffic Police resort (number of incidents, time of day, incident, type of vehicle involved age and victims of traffic accidents). During the 5-year period there have been 23 traffic accidents. The highest number was in 2017 with 7 traffic accidents. The Black Spot point on the Sultan road is at km 3, while the Black Site is still on the same road. The types of vehicles involved were motorbike vs motorbike drivers with 12 incidents, the age and most accident with minor injuries were 26 victims and the majority of victims aged 36-40 years were 9 victims. From the results of this study it was concluded that the level of traffic accidents in the city of Rengat is still high so that it is still necessary to give direction to drivers who do not obey traffic rules.
