Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of giving growth hormone through immersion method with different doses on survival and growth of baung fish (Hemibagrus mumurus). The method used is an experimental method using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 3 replications, namely: (P0) control without immersion, (P1) immersion dose of 2 mL, (P2) immersion dose 2.5 mL, (P3) immersion dose of 3 mL and (P4) immersion dose of 3.5 mL. The test fish used were 2 cm size baung fish larvae. The container used is a jar with a capacity of 10 liters as many as 15 pieces. The results showed that the highest survival rate was in treatment P2 (73.33%) with an immersion dose of 2.5 mL then followed by weight growth of baung fish in treatment P2 (11.24 g) and length growth in treatment P2 (21.98 cm). The water quality parameters in this study were quite good for the test fish. The results of water quality measurements in this study were temperature 28-30oC, pH 6.5-7 and dissolved oxygen 5.0-5.5.5 mg/L.
