Abstract

SOCIAL REHABILITATION FOR PEOPLE WITH SOCIAL WELFARE PROBLEMS (PMKS) FOR HOMELESS PEOPLE AND BEGGARS THROUGH PEKANBARU CITY SOCIAL SERVICES ABSTRACT SHERLY MARLINA Social Rehabilitation is a process of refunctionalization and development that allows a person to carry out his social functions fairly in public life. Social Rehabilitation is given to homeless and beggars implemented by pekanbaru city social services, aiming to solve social problems against the existence of homeless and beggars in several actions with the initial approach stages, assessment, preparation of intervention plans, interventions, socialization, termination and further guidance. The purpose of this study is to find out how the social rehabilitation process for homeless and beggars. The indicators used are initial approach, assessment, preparation of intervention plans, interventions, socialization, termination and further guidance. The type of research used is qualitative research that produces descriptive data. This research is located in Pekanbaru City precisely in Pekanbaru City Social Service. The results of the study are based on interviews, observations and documentation. The conclusion of this study is less than the maximum precautions in providing socialization either directly or through print media such as billboards, brochures, leaflets or other media to the people of Pekanbaru City, limited facilities and infrastructure, then shelter capacity is also very limited.
