Abstract
Digital poster is a media that uses technology to support teaching and learning writing English. It help students be more receptive to improve their writing as interactive feedback. This research aimed to know the effect of digital poster flyer maker toward students’ writing ability of recount text. The design of this research is True-experimental research which use pretest-posttest control group design. The researcher conducted the study at SMK Negeri 4 Pekanbaru. The researcher took 36 students from X DKV 1 as experimental class and X DKV 2 as control class, each class consist of 18 students. In this research, the researcher used purposive sampling technique. The researcher instrument is written test. Repeated measure t-test was used to analyze the data in which the significance was determined by p<0.05. The result of this research showed that the mean posttest of experimental class was 86.94 while posttest control class was 73.17. It indicated that the mean posttest experimental were better than control class. Then, the result of Hypothesis test showed that the value of both class obtained value sig. (2-tailed) was 0.000 < 0.05. It means that null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected and alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. As the conclusion, there was a significance effect of students who received in class experimental using digital poster flyer maker than the students who did not received classroom using digital poster flyer maker in recognizing a recount text.
