Abstract

Riau Province is the largest rubber producing province in Indonesia, one of which is located in Kuantan Singingi Regency which has an area of 146,216.21 Ha (Department of Agriculture, Directorate General of Plantations, 2018). Kuantan Singingi Regency has a rubber management industry, one of which is in Logas Village, Singingi District, namely PT. Andalas Agrolestari. This study aims to determine the impact of the rubber processing industry on socio-economic changes and infrastructure development in Logas Village, Singingi District, Kuantan Singingi Regency. This study uses primary data in the form of field observations, interviews and questionnaires and secondary data in the form of BPS and PT. Andalas Agrolestari. This research method uses descriptive and quantitative methods using Likert scale analysis. The results of this study indicate that the occupational indicators from the 2004 statistical central agency data for types of work such as farmers, traders, handicraft industries, labor employees, civil servants, and others total 544 people. after an industrial change in 2019, a total of 621 people were obtained. the level of education from the 2004 statistical central agency data such as not graduating from elementary school, elementary school, junior high school, senior high school, diploma, and bachelor / S1 obtained an overall number of people 327 people after the industry in 2019 obtained an overall community of 455 people. the level of industry revenue in 2004 was 53.5%, the change in industry in 2019 was 87.9%, the business opportunity in 2004 was 48.2%, the change in industry in 2019 was 78.5% and for the development of road network infrastructure in 2004 was 47.1 % of changes in 2019 were obtained 76.6%, electricity networks in 2004 were obtained 45.2% changes in 2019 were obtained 66.8%, clean water in 2004 were obtained 47.1% changes in 2019 were obtained 80.4%. The impact of the existence of the rubber processing industry is based on two variables, namely socioeconomic and infrastructure development after the founding of the industry, which greatly affects the lives of the Logas Village community.
