Abstract

This study aims to find out how the narcotics abuse prevention program in the city of Pekanbaru is based on the P4GN program of the Pekanbaru City National Nar-cotics Agency (BNNK). The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, namely research that describes the immediate situation that occurs in the field. From the results of research conducted by researchers, we can see that the Pekanbaru City National Narcotics Agency (BNNK) has tried to make various forms of efforts to narrow the opportunities for narcotics abuse to occur. The Pek-anbaru City National Narcotics Agency (BNNK) seeks to take various approach-es, either direct or indirect, aimed at detecting drug abuse from an early age. As for the programs carried out by the Pekanbaru City National Narcotics Agency (BNNK), namely, the formation of anti-drug activists both in private and state government agencies and also the community, implementing the family resilience index program and also the city resilience index to form immunity to narcotics, he did Socialization aimed at educating the public about the dangers of narcotics abuse, making public branding facilities such as making signposts, billboards, covering the dangers of narcotics abuse, implementing advocacy in the field of prevention of abuse and eradicating drug trafficking (P4GN) in both private and public work environments. However, in the process of its implementation, the Pekanbaru City National Narcotics Agency (BNNK) still has obstacles and obsta-cles such as limited human resources owned by BNNK Pekanbaru in carrying out technical activities and still lack of public awareness of the dangers of narcotics abuse. The Pekanbaru City National Narcotics Agency (BNNK) will never stop trying to help the government in its efforts to create a drug-free Indonesia. This requires commitment from the government and the community to combat this case and strive to continue to fix the obstacles and obstacles that existed during tech-nical implementation in the field.
