Abstract

ABSTRACT Considering how very important the role of transportation is, public transportation and traffic must be arranged in an integrated national transportation system and also realize the existence of transportation services that can be in accordance with the conditions of the level of traffic demand and transportation services that are orderly, fast, comfortable, low cost. and smooth. And with the development of the world of information technology, Indonesia cannot be separated from the influence in the field of transportation, which arises in Indonesia. Currently, it is called online transportation. What is contained in the formulation of the problem in this study is whether online motorcycle taxis are public transportation according to Ministerial Regulation PM 108 of 2017 and how the legal analysis of the use of online motorcycle taxis is made public transportation. And the type of research used by the author here is normative legal research, while the author's research is entirely library research. In writing this thesis the research cites and uses written sources of materials such as theses, theses, books, journals and documents. other. Elucidation of Public Transportation According to the Law, the First Ministerial Regulation Based on Law Number 22 of 2009 concerning Traffic and Road Transportation Article 4 Paragraph (3) explains that public motorized vehicles are passenger cars, buses, goods cars and special vehicles in the regulation Minister Number PM 108 of 2017 explains that public motorized vehicles are using taxis, transportation of people for certain purposes, transportation of people for tourism purposes and transportation of people in certain areas based on the explanation of these regulations, it can be concluded that online motorcycle taxis are not public transportation. But basically online motorcycle taxis are currently used as public transportation.
