Abstract
This study aims to develop big book learning media that is suitable for use in thematic learning for class I Elementary School theme 6 sub-theme 2 in learning 1 This research uses formative research methods.. This research is focused on three stages. Preliminary stage (1), self-evaluation stage (2) which includes an analysis stage consisting of teacher needs analysis, student needs analysis, and curriculum needs analysis as well as the design stage of making big book media using several Canva application programs, adobe illustrator, features online remove background, tap scanner application and print designs with art carton paper, as well as the prototyping stage (3) which includes the validation and revision stages of the product. The subjects in this study were 1 teacher, 3 students and 2 design experts, 2 material experts, and 2 linguists. The instrument used is a validation sheet and the data analysis techniques used are quantitative and qualitative. The results obtained from the big book learning media theme 6 sub-theme 2 learning 1 for grade I elementary school students are suitable for use based on the assessment of design experts 92.36% with valid categories, material experts 92.04% with valid categories, linguists 93, 05% who meet the valid category. The average percentage of validation results is 92.48% with a valid category without revision.
