Abstract
Learning based on self-regulation is where individuals are able to direct themselves in the learning process, but students find it difficult to direct themselves because they share one of the factors because students are smartphone addiction. This study aims to determine the relationship between smartphone addiction with learning based on self-regulation in Riau Islamic Psychology students with a population of 1041 students aged 18-22 years, a total sample of 292 students. The sampling technique in this study uses a simple random sampling method. Data collection techniques using a scale of 10 items for the samrtphone addiction scale and 45 items for the scale of learning based on self- regulation. The results of this study use Spearman 's rank correlation analysis with a correlation coefficient of r of 0.199 with a significant p of 0.001 (p <0.005), it can reveal a significant relationship between smartphone addiction with learning based on self-regulation. In the sense that the hypothesis in this study was accepted
