Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the main and interaction effect of taspu compost and organic NPK on the growth and production of purple eggplant. This research has been carried out in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jln. Kaharuddin Nasution No. 113, KM 11, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City, Riau. The study was carried out for 4 months starting from November 2020 to February 2021. This study used a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 3 replications consisting of two factors, the first factor was taspu compost (Factor T) which consisted of 4 levels were 0, 75, 150 and 225 g/plant and the second factor was organic NPK (Factor N) which consisted of 4 levels, namely 0, 10, 20 and 30 g/plant. Parameters observed were plant height, age of flowering, age of harvest, number of fruit planted, weight of fruit planted, weight of fruit per fruit and number of remaining fruit. The data were statistically analyzed and continued with the BNJ further test at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction of taspu compost and organic NPK had an effect on fruit weight. The best treatment combination was taspu compost at a dose of 225 g/plant and organic NPK at a dose of 30 g/plant (T3N3). The main effect of taspu compost was real on all observed parameters. The best treatment was taspu compost at a dose of 225 g/plant (T3). The main effect of organic NPK was significant on all observed parameters. The best treatment for organic NPK was at a dose of 30 g/plant (N3).
