Abstract

This research aims to know the competency of pedagogic teachers of IPA in SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Apit based on regulation of the Minister of National Education number 16 year 2007. This research uses qualitative methods with a case study approach. The instruments used in this study used the interview sheet as the main data, the observation sheet and documentation as supporters. Sample as many as 2 IPA teachers, Data analyzed using descriptive analysis. Indicators Mastering the characteristics of learners from the physical, moral, spiritual, social, cultural, emotional, and intellectual aspects of the calculation of an average of 100% (competent). Indicator Mastering the theory of learning from the principles of educational learning is achieved an average calculation of 85.5% (competent). The indicator develops a curriculum related to the subjects that can be obtained by SCIENCE teachers acquired an average calculation of 70% (competent). An educated learning indicator gained an average calculation of 83.5% (competent). Then the indicator utilizes communication technology for learning interests gained an average calculation of 41.5% (incompetent). The indicator facilitates the development of potential learners to actualize the various potentials gained by an average calculation of 41.5% (incompetent). The indicator communicates effectively, emphatically, and politely with the learners gained an average calculation of 100% (competent). The indicator organizes process evaluation assessments and learning evaluation results obtained an average calculation of 83.5% (competent). The indicator utilizes the assessment results and evaluation for learning interests gained an average calculation of 66.5% (competent). Next to the indicator performs the reflection action to improve the quality of learning gained an average calculation of 75% (competent). So, from 10 indicators pedagogic competence teachers can be concluded that the pedagogic competence of teachers IPA (case studies in SMP 1 Apit River school year 2018/2019) can be categorized competent with the acquisition of an average calculation of 74.7% (competent).
