Abstract

Cooperative learning method is a method of learning in the form of small groups that prioritizes cooperation among students to achieve learning goals. While learning activeness is an activity that is both physical and mental, that is, doing and thinking as a series that cannot be separated. Activeness is an important key to the success of a learning process. In the preliminary study that the researcher conducted on the eighth grade students of SMP YLPI Perhentian Marpoyan Pekanbaru, known that the teacher had used the cooperative learning method but there were still students who did not pay attention to the teacher's explanation so that they did not understand the material, and there were also students who did not want to ask about the material that they did not know. The problem statement in this study is whether there is an influence of cooperative learning methods on student learning activeness. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of cooperative learning methods on student learning activeness. The type of research is quantitative research, the population and sample 52 people. the data collection techniques using questionnaires and documentation. based on the results of data processing and data analysis, it is concluded that there is an influence of cooperative learning methods on student learning activeness in Islamic Religious Education subjects in class VIII SMP YLPI Perhentian Marpoyan Pekanbaru. This is evidenced by the significance value smaller than 0.05 which is 0.001 <0.05, the level of influence of cooperative learning methods on student learning activeness of 0.330. According to the coefficient interpretation of the correlation lies at intervals of 0.20 - 0.399 with the criteria for the level of influence is low. While the remaining 67% is influenced by other factors.
