Abstract

Education is the learning of knowledge, skills, and habits of a group of people passed down from one generation to the next through teaching, training, or research. Education often takes place under the guidance of others, but it is also self-taught. The development of technology at this time has developed rapidly, one of which is the existence of Augmented Reality which can be used as a learning medium in order to attract students' interest in teaching and learning activities. Augmented Reality (AR) is a technology that combines objects from the real world and virtual or virtual objects in real-time conditions. The application to be created is the basic learning medium of grouping bacteria with augmented reality. This application aims to build a basic learning media application grouping bacteria with augmented reality to increase students' interest in teaching and learning activities. Applications are made with unity using 3D displays with markeless techniques and using the ARCore SDk library. Based on tests collected at a distance of 5cm to 200 cm 3D animation can appear, and animations can be displayed outside or indoors and can track locations anywhere with the condition that it has a sufficient light intensity above 0 lux light intensity. As well as the results of user testing get a score of 82.47% with that basic learning media application grouping bacteria using augmented reality that can help students to learn the basics of grouping bacteria in 3D animation.
