Abstract

RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN HAPPINESS AND EMPATHY AND PSYCHOLOGICAL WELL-BEING IN NURSES MARTHA YOLANDA RITONGA 168110207 FAKULTAS PSIKOLOGI UNIVERSITAS ISLAM RIAU ABSTRAK Nurses are a professional medical worker who has the authority, responsibility, and ability to carry out nursing or service care on the entire nursing service level at the Hospital. Every single nurse feels in her job having a heavy burden because of where the individual (nurse) is faced with heavy responsibility. Nurses are charged with being able to apply and develop all the potential as well as abilities possessed, so that can be achieved optimal health services. This study aims to know between the relationship of gratitude and empathy to psychological welfare to the nurses in the hospital. The subject in this study of 217 nurses selected using purposive sampling techniques. In this study using empathy scales, scales of gratitude and psychological welfare scales. The result of this study is a significant and positive relationship between the gratitude of psychological welfare where it can be seen from a value of 0.322 and the existence of a positive relationship between empathy with psychological welfare has a result of 0.241. It means that there is a significant connection between gratitude and empathy to psychological welfare in nurses.
