Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the process of Waste Management in Lubuk Jambi Market, Kuantan Mudik Subdistrict, Kuantan Singingi Regency and to determine the inhibiting factors. The indicators used include effectiveness, efficiency, adequacy, leveling, responsiveness, accuracy. The phenomenon that the authors encountered is: Lack of awareness of traders to dispose of garbage in its place, causing unpleasant odors and garbage heaps around the Market. The lack of Temporary Disposal Sites (TPS) that are only 2 (Two) is not proportional to the area of the Market. This type of research uses descriptive qualitative, which is to investigate objects that cannot be measured using numbers because the goal is to reveal events or facts, circumstances and phenomena during the research. Key informants were the subdistrict head of Kuantan Mudik district and Lurah Pasar Lubuk Jambi district, and the informants were cleaning staff, community dam traders. The type of author's research is derived from Primary Data obtained directly from informants through and documentation as well as its Secondary Data that is data obtained to complete primary data. While Data Analysis Techniques in the form of an overview of the findings in the field in the form of data and information from interviews and documentation.
