Abstract

The rapidly growing Indonesian aquaculture has made the need for fish feed to increase, if only relying on natural feed alone will not be sufficient for the capacity of fish feed and the price of fish feed becomes expensive, thus hampering aquaculture. Nowadays, fish food business is often found selling fish pellets which are generally made or done in homes as a home industry using manual labor with the result that the production capacity is not too large. It is hoped that the purpose of designing this tool will be easier for producers to operate, so that the work of the producers will be more efficient and easier. In addition, this machine can increase the quantity and quality of the fish pellet mold. In this study, designing a fish food pellet making machine on an electric motor as the main mover with 0.25 HP and 2800 RPM rotation. The size of the machine frame is 1000 mm long, 360 mm wide and 800 mm high.
