Abstract
This study aims to describe in detail about the Analysis Poang dance of the Sakai tribe, using qualitative research methods and descriptive analysis with data collection techniques of observation, interviews, and documentation. Poang Dance in the Sakai Tribe Indigenous People is one of the from a series of traditional ceremonies. They have done this ceremony handed down from their ancestors to the present. Explanation about The complete analysis of the Poang dance is clearly stated whether written or not written (video), explained based on the theory of the nine elements of dance by Soedarsono. This thesis is useful for the author, namely to find out how is the analysis of the Poang dance on the Indigenous People of the Sakai tribe, as well as the author's requirements in completing the S1 education at the Islamic University of Riau Sendratasik Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education.
