Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the coaching and coaching policies carried out by Smk X Pekanbaru City in dealing with the Truant behavior of Smk X students. The type of research used was qualitative descriptive research that presented a picture of the actual situation in the fiold. Polices and guidance that are carried out in dealing with truant behavior of Smk X Pekanbaru students, namely, efforts in carrying out school policies in dealing with truant students, then implementing the rules in Smk X Pekanbaru school in order to deter students who are truant, policies and coaching conducted by Smk X Kota Pekanbaru that is, coaching homeroon for students who play truant and calling parents if they have not changed then the homeroom teacher will proceed to the Counseling Guindance Teacher then the Guindace Counseling Teacher Does if there is no change from students the guidance teacher will calling on the students teacher, the students do guidance to these students and call the parents of the students and give the first warning letter, if there is also no change after the first and second warning letters then the students will increase the level to red warning letter that is the last warning letter, if the students does not change, the student releases a drop-out letter and expels the students from school.
