Abstract

ABSTRACT THE EFFECT OF WORK SUPERVISION AND PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT ON EMPLOYEE WORK MOTIVATION (Case Study at the Department of Youth and Sports Education, Kuantan Singingi Regency) DEBI ENDRIA ANANDITA 165210034 This study aims to: (1) know the effect of work supervision on the work motivation of employees in the Youth and Sports Education Office of Kuantan Singingi Regency; (2) know the effect of performance appraisal on employee motivation at the Youth and Sports Education Office of Kuantan Singingi Regency; (3) know the effect of work supervision and performance appraisal simultaneously on the work motivation of employees in the Youth and Sports Education Office of Kuantan Singingi Regency. This research is an Ex Post Facto research and was conducted at the Department of Youth and Sports Education, Kuantan Singingi Regency with a population of 40 employees. The data in this study were taken using questionnaires and interviews. The questionnaire was divided into 3 groups, namely groups to reveal data on job supervision, performance appraisal, and work motivation. The analysis technique used in testing the hypothesis is a simple linear regression analysis technique and multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The results showed that: (1) partially working supervision did not affect the work motivation of employees in the Youth and Sports Education Office of Kuantan Singingi Regency; (2) the performance appraisal partially affected the work motivation of employees in the Youth and Sports Education Office of Kuantan Singingi Regency; (3) work supervision and performance appraisal simultaneously had an effect on work motivation in the Youth and Sports Education Office of Kuantan Singingi Regency, with a percentage of the effect of 84.1%.
