Abstract
This research a’ims to improve the Biology learning result of the student of XI MIA 2 Tapung, academic 2018/2019 by applicated the P roblem Based Learning. Research held at 15 th August to 03 th October 2018 in class XI MIA 2 SMAN 2 Tapung. The research sample are of 25 students consisted of with 8 male and 17 famale student. This research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The parameters measured are student learning outcomes in the form of absorption and mastery of student learning consisting of individual and classical completeness. Data analysis wa carried out descriptive to determine the absorption and completeness of student learning for KDP (Cognitive) and KI (Psychomotor) and inferential values. Based on data obtaibed the average absorption power of student leraning outcomes before CAR was 70.36% after CAR in first cycle I to 79.47% and in cycle II to 86.22%. Classical completeness of students before the implementing CAR is 52%, after CAR in cycle I to 80% and cycle II to 92%. The average value of KI students before CAR is 74.24%, after CAR in cycle I to 81.26% and cycle II to 95.02%. classical completeness KI before CAR of the amout to 68% after CAR in cycle I to 80% and cycle II to 100%. Based on the result of this research, can be concluded that the application of P roblem Based Learning can improve leraning result of students grade XI MIA 2 SMAN 2 Tapung, academic year 2018/2019.
