Abstract

This study aims to analyze the dance aesthetic of the Joged Injit Siput dance in BI Production studio, Pekanbaru City, Riau Province. Joged Injit Siput danceis the dance which danced by couple. This dance inspired by lifestyle of Suku Akit society in Kepulauan Meranti district. This dance describe about couple of a husband and wife’s life who lived at side of the sea, where a husband is a fisherman and doing persuade to his wife so that not join to go out to sea. The formulation of the problem in this study is : How is the Aesthetic of the Joged Injit Siput dance in BI Production studio Pekanbaru City, Riau Province. This study used the qualitative method and the research subjects numbered is 4 people as speaker with data collection techniques used are observation, interview, add documentation techniques. The Conclusion Aesthetic of the Joged Injit Sipiut dance in BI Production studio Pekanbaru City, Riau Province can be seen from the element of the aesthetic, that is the form which can be seen by the elements of the Joged Injit Siput dance, wights or contents which can be seen by the idea, message and feel of the dance, and appearance which can be seen by the dancer’s skill in Joged Injit Siput dance.
