Abstract
This study aims to find out about the Aesthetic Value of Inai Dance Tradition in Kubu District, Rokan Hilir Regency, Riau Province. Inai Dance Tradition is a traditional dance of the Malay tribal community which developed in the sub-district and is preserved. Inai dance is one of the traditions in the downstream rokan stronghold. Inai dance is only found in the implementation of Malay wedding ceremonies or called at night inai or the day before the wedding reception day. According to the Malay people, what if the bride and groom have not held a tradition of henna, this cannot be said to be a valid marriage in the Malay community. So, marked by the bride 's fingers, the bride is a sign that she is legally married in a religious or Malay community. This study uses the theory of The Liang Gie (1996) and Djelantik (1999). This study uses qualitative methods and the research subjects numbered 3 people as speakers, namely the chairman, dance trainer and music player. Data collection techniques used are observation, interview and documentation techniques. Conclusion Aesthetic Value of Inai Dance Tradition in Kubu District Rokan Hilir Regency Riau Province seen from the value of beauty that is the form or shape can be seen from the shape and structure of both dance movements, floor patterns, music , fashion, cosmetology, stage design, and lighting, weight, content seen in the atmosphere, ideas and messages conveyed in the Inai Dance Tradition.
