Abstract

This research was carried out in Rengat District, precisely at the Baitul Maal Wat Tamwil (BMT) institution. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of Baitul Maal Wat Tamwil (BMT) Indragiri in empowering (increasing income) MSMEs in Indragiri Hulu Regency and to determine the difference between MSME income before and after obtaining empowerment (increasing income) by Baitul Maal Wat Tamwil. (BMT) Indragiri. The type of data used in this study is secondary data in the form of annual quantitative figures from 2016 to 2020 and the source of this data is obtained directly from Baitul Maal Wat Tamwil (BMT) Indragiri. This study also uses primary data, namely identity data, total income, and other data obtained directly from respondents from Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) who have been empowered by BMT Indragiri. This research uses data analysis method with gross income formula, net income formula, and also the percentage increase in income formula. From the results of this study, it is known that: 1) The role of empowerment by BMT Indragiri in increasing the income of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Rengat District, Indragiri Hulu Regency has a percentage of 69.99%. 2) It is known that the average gross income and net income of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) before and after obtaining empowerment (increase in income) by Baitul Maal Wat Tamwil (BMT) Indragiri has increased.
