Abstract
The dance extracurricular activity at SMP Negeri 34 Pekanbaru specifically this research aims to develop and explore the talents and abilities of students in art work and motivate students to be more confident, increase student creativity and foster disciplinary attitudes, a sense of responsibility and cooperation because dance is teamwork not just individuals, material taught in the subject of dance culture and art (Pancar Anak), the methods used lecture, practice and discussion methods, facilities and infrastructure used by speakers, laptops, school fields, assessments expressed qualitatively or comments written with scores: 85-100 (A), 70-84 (B), 50-69 (C), AND 30-49 (D). Data collection is done by interview, observation and documentation. Then the interview data and observations in this study are described and described. From the results of the analysis of findings in the field, it was concluded that the material taught was Pancar Dance. Based on the results of analysis of student learning in the Pancar dance dance extracurricular activities consisting of 10 students, namely class VII shows that most of the students who take part in this dance extracurricular activity get an A (Very Good), because this method makes students feel quite understand and interested of the material being taught, students also often practice and then discuss any movements that are not yet understood. So that dance extracurricular activities at Pekanbaru 34 Public Middle School are going well.
