Abstract

This research aims to develop learning media in the form of animated videos that are valid for mathematics learning material speed, distance and time of grade V elementary school. This learning medium developed is intended to attract students' attention following the learning and strengthen students' knowledge of the material speed, distance and time. The method in this study uses development research with addie model. This study uses three stages. (1) the analysis stage, namely the analysis of materials, educators and students, (2) the design stage, namely to design the product that has been determined by selecting the software to be used to create the media, (3) the development stage, namely conducting validity tests. The subjects in this study were 2 media experts, 2 material experts, 2 linguists, 1 teacher and 3 students. Then the instrument in this study is an expert validation instrument. While the data analysis techniques used are qualitative and quantitative data. The results of this study showed that the expert assessment of the media of this animated video is categorized as very valid with a percentage of 95%. Then the expert assessment of the material on the media of this animated video is categorized as very valid with a percentage of 86.25%. Furthermore, the expert assessment of the media of animated videos is categorized as very valid with a percentage of 85%. Overall validation results from media experts, material experts, and linguists obtained an average of 88.75% with very valid criteria.
