Abstract
ARI ANGGARA (164210033). Feasibility Analysis of Oyster Mushroom Business Nando Mushroom House in Sialang Sakti Village, Tenayan Raya District, Pekanbaru City, Riau Province. Supervisor Dr. Azharuddin M Amin, M.Sc Oyster mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus) is a mushroom with a shape like an oyster shell with a slightly concave center and to cream in color. Oyster mushroom is one of the community's vegetable food sources and can be used as an agribusiness that has prospects for profitable investment. This study aims to analyze: 1). characteristics of entrepreneurs, workforce and business profile of oyster mushroom, 2). Non-financial feasibility of oyster mushroom business, 3). Financial feasibility of oyster mushroom business and 4). Business sensitivity of oyster mushroom. The research method was a case study on the oyster mushroom business "Nando Mushroom House" in Sialang Sakti Village, Tenayan Raya District, Pekanbaru City, Riau Province. This research was conducted for six months starting from September 2020 to February 2021. The respondents were entrepreneurs and four employers. The type of data used was qualitative and quantitative with data sources namely primary and secondary data. Data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively with an investment analysis approach with criteria (Net Present Value, Internal Rate of Return, Net B/C and Payback Period) and Switching Value. The results of the study indicate that entrepreneurs are productive age with 25 years old, 16 years of education or equivalent to undergraduate S1) with 5 years of business experience, there is no the amount of family. The history of the oyster mushroom business started from a passion for business to oyster mushroom tourist attractions including micro, using their capital equity, and a total workforce of 4 employers. Non-financial feasibility shows that based on technical, market and marketing, environmental and legal aspects, it’s feasible to operate because it was in line of business management procedures and BAP. Furthermore, the results of the analysis shows that the oyster mushroom business was feasible because it has satisfied four profitable investment criteria with an NPV value was 204,234,281 > 0; Net B/C 1.34; IRR 35.68 > prevailing interest rate (16.5%) and Payback Period 4 Years 2 months 2 days < life of project (10 Years). Based on the sensitivity analysis by using the Switching Value method, where the profit of oyster mushroom has more sensitive to the decrease in oyster mushroom production with a decrease in NPV was 10.90%, and a decrease in selling price was 7.89% compared to an increase in operating costs was 1.81%.
