Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of motivation on the performance of rattan craftsmen (a study in the small rattan craftsmen industry in Rumbai District, Pekanbaru City). This research was conducted in a small rattan craftsman industry having the address at Jalan Yos Sudarso, Meranti Village, Rumbai District, Pekanbaru City. The sample in this study amounted to 34 craftsmen using a purposive method. Data collection techniques using interviews and questionnaires. The analysis technique uses simple linear regression. The results of this study indicate that motivation has a significant effect on the performance of rattan craftsmen (a study in the small rattan craftsmen industry, Rumbai District, Pekanbaru City).
