Abstract

The problem of this research is about service innovation carried out by the Pekanbaru city government on public services. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of innovation in services carried out by the Pekanbaru city government with one stop service or one-stop integrated service at the Public Service Mall. This type of research is descriptive qualitative through interviews, observations and documentation as information and data collection, the information and data collected are used as raw materials to assess the effectiveness of public service innovations. While the technical analysis of the data used consists of primary data is a data source that provides data to data collectors through interviews and secondary data is a data source that does not directly provide data but through observation or through documents. The effectiveness of innovation in services at the Public Service Mall has not been carried out optimally by the City of Pekanbaru and in particular the Office of Investment and One Stop Integrated Services for services provided to the community so that it increasingly raises differences between agencies or institutions that provide services at Public Service Malls, but with some Services can be done in one place, of course, it makes it easier for people who want to do more than one service. Based on the discussion, the researcher concludes that the effectiveness of Service Innovation in Public Service Malls has not been maximized so that innovation is not effectively carried out at Public Service Malls. Recommendations that need to be considered when the Pekanbaru City government will carry out an innovation should adjust to the development of the community who has switched to the digital era as it is now so that there is no more reason not to provide services.
