Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve the service skills under volleyball through modification of tools in class VII-2 students at SMPN 25 Pekanbaru. This type of research is PTK. The population in this study amounted to 34 students, then the sample taken was the whole of the population of 34 students. Based on the results of data processing in the implementation of the first cycle there were 26 students who achieved the KKM value (76%), and 8 students who had not yet achieved the KKM value (24%). So this study continued with the implementation of the second cycle and the results increased with the number of 28 students who achieved the KKM value (82%) and 6 students who had not yet achieved the KKM value (18%). Thus it can be concluded that there is an increase in service skills under volleyball through modification of tools in class VII-2 students at SMP 25 Pekanbaru.
