Abstract

SOCIAL INTERCTION OF BUJANG GADI DANCERS IN RANDAI TERATAK AIR HITAM GROUP SENTAJO RAYA SUBDISTRICT KUANTAN SINGINGI REGENCY Riska, Yahyar Erawati Sendratasik Education Study Program Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Riau Islamic University Abstract Theoretically, there are internal and external factors that encourage a person to engage in social interactions, as well as social interactions carried out by Bujang Gadi dancers. For example, the Bujang Gadi dancer in playing a female dancer is driven by the imitation factor, because male dancers imitate female dancers. However, this condition may only apply during the performance, and does not occur outside the show, but it could be that Bujang Gadi's condition is the actual condition of the dancer. Therefore, it is necessary to investigate further, so that the purpose of this study is to determine the social interaction of Bujang Gadi dancers in the Air Hitam Teratak Randai Group, Sentajo Raya District, Kuantan Singingi Regency. This research method is a qualitative descriptive method. The results showed that the social interaction of Bujang Gadi dancers occurred because of the urge to communicate, because of sympathy and motivation factors. The urge to communicate occurs because of the nature of humans as social beings who need other people to interact. The sympathy factor is caused by the similarity between the Bujang Gadi dancer and his role as Bujang Gadi. Meanwhile, the motivation factor is due to the encouragement from within Bujang Gadi, namely the urge to be appreciated for what it is, and to preserve randai due to the existence of randai stories The conclusion of the study is that there is Bujang Gadi's social interaction in the form of internal factors (encouragement to communicate) and external factors (sympathy and motivation factors).
