Abstract

This research aims to observe the improvements of student’s backhand short serve badminton ability through audio visual media amongst state senior high school 8 students. This research was conducted during the even semester of school year 2018/2019. As for the form of the research is classroom action research, population of students from X-Mipa 8 of State Senior High School 8 is 36 students. The research technique used is total sampling. Data analyzation technique used was test for work which is practical test of backhand short serve badminton, after that the test results will be graded. From the execution of cycle I and the results, 26 students reached the passing grade (72%) and 10 students failed to reach the passing grade (28%). Followed by the execution of cycle II and the results increased with 30 students reached the passing grade (83%) and 6 students failed to reach the passing grade (17%). With the results it can be concluded that there is an increase of backhand short serve badminton learning ability through audio visual media amongst students from X-Mipa 8 of State Senior High School 8 students with an increase of (11%).
