Abstract

Problem Formulation How is the Implementation of the Fulfillment of the Right to Education for Child Prisoners in the Class IIA Tembilahan Correctional Institution, Indragiri Hilir Regency? What are the Obstacles and Efforts in the Implementation of the Fulfillment of the Right to Education for Child Prisoners at the Class IIA Tembilahan Correctional Institution, Indragiri Hilir Regency? This type of research is included in the observational research or nondoctrinal research group, namely by looking at the implementation of the fulfillment of the right to education for child prisoners in the Class Iia Tembilahan Correctional Institution, Indragiri Hilir Regency. While seen from its nature is descriptive analytical. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the right to education for child convicts in the Class II A Tembilahan Correctional Institution. These factors include: Obstacles from the juridical aspect, Limited provision of facilities, Lack of enthusiasm for child prisoners, Lack of educators, Lack of budget supply for education, Lack of escort for prisoners. Lack of partners, low community awareness, while efforts must be made to avoid the obstacles encountered in the field, it is necessary to do, among others, understand the rules that will be carried out. Provide facilities. Provide motivation to children. Correctional officers need to have sufficient abilities and skills so that they can carry out their duties effectively, Correctional Institutions need to provide adequate educational facilities and infrastructure. It is necessary to increase the involvement of certain parties. such as the Ministry of Education and Culture in terms of providing educators in Correctional Institutions Class II A Tembilahan Correctional Institutions need to increase cooperation with law enforcement agencies and other agencies, the community wants to be able to provide motivation and be able to accept them
