Abstract

Implementation of Employment Opportunity Improvement Program at the Manpower and Transmigration Office of Riau Province (Study in Pekanbaru City) ABSTRACT Merry Chindy Khan This study aims to explain the implementation process, identify obstacles, and achieve job opportunities at the Riau Province Manpower and Transmigration Office (Study in Pekanbary City). The indicators of this research are Policy Size and Objectives, Resources, Characteristics of Implementers, Attitude/Tendency of Implementers, Inter-organizational Communication and implementing activitice, economic, social and political anvirontment. The type search used is quantitative method, with questionnaire, interview, observation and documenttion techniques. There are two population groups, Employees of the Manpower and Transmigration Office of Riau Province in accordance with the field that carries out the program to increase job opportunities are 5 people and job seekers are 50 people. Two sampling techniques used in determining individual samples are the census techiques for the population of the riau province manpower and transmigration office and the purposive sampling technique for job seekers. The types and techniques of data collection used consisted of primary data collected through interview, questionnaire, and observation techniques. Then secondary data was collected through documentation techniques. Then the data analysis technique used is to use data in the form of tables, figures and percentages and analyzed by descriptive methods.then from that the results of the study were that the program for increasing employment opportunities at the office of manpower and transmigration of riau province (study in pekanbaru city) was “sufficiently implemented”. Because the program activities to increase job opportunities in 2018-2019 were carried out well, then in 2020-2021 the activities were not carried out and then transferred to basic food assitance for employees affected by layoffs and employess who were laid off.
