Abstract

THE INFLUENCE OF LIBRARY UTILIZATION ON LITERATION IN READING ISLAMIC EDUCATION BOOK OF GRADE 5TH STUDENTS AT PUBLIC PRIMARY SCHOOL PLUS 011 SOREK SATU PELALAWAN REGENCY ASMAWATI 172410148 This research was motivated by the lack of literation in reading Islamic education book of grade 5th students at public primary school plus 011 Sorek Satu, Pelalawan Regency. It could be seen from some of grade 5th students at primary school plus 011 Sorek Satu Pelalawan Regency could not be able to read and write, and some of students taught to read but not read to write, reading was very important, but students could not active in reading. Also, some of students forgot to correlate writing mastery to reading comprehension. The formulation in this research explained was there any influence of library utilization on literation in reading Islamic education book of grade 5th students at public primary school plus 011 Sorek Satu, Pelalawan Regency. The purpose in this research examined to know the influence of library utilization on literation in reading Islamic education book of grade 5th students at public primary school plus 011 Sorek Satu, Pelalawan Regency. This research used quantitative with correlational approach. The population involved 82 students of grade 5th students at primary school plus 011 Sorek Satu pelalawan regency, the sampling took all population. In collecting data, this research used questionnaire and documentation. Meanwhile, this research findings showed that the hypothesis about the influence of library utilization on literation in students’ reading could be accepted with significant score 0.000. then, the influenced score (0.851 or 85.1%). It could be predicted that when library utilization improved, it would give contribution to improve students’ reading literation in 1.627% 0r 162.7%., and vice versa, when library utilization was decreased in 1.627% or 162.7%. in this research findings, it could be concluded that there was any influence of library utilization on literation in reading Islamic education book of grade 5th at primary school plus 011 Sorek Satu Pelalawan regency.
